Re: kof 2002 magicplus 2

Hey fellows, here I am again :-) Resurecting a defunct topic: is there a way to forbid in-game character change if the player has used a power up? This game allows the player to press B + C to use one energy unit so the character flashes, then during that time the player presses C + D to change to a...

Re: [fantastc] cheats

This one game from my childhood, I played it a lot here in Rio de Janeiro. Thanks, Pugs :) By the way, I don't know if you noticed but this game doesn't seem to have the "aliens don't fire" bug that Galaga had. Actually, after some stage alien shots become A LOT quicker! Speaking of Galaga...

Ian Patterson: please read

For many releases there's been a problem in which you can't assign keys anymore in cheat.dat to cheats - for instance, if you assign the code for keypad 1 it turns into F2 and keypad 2 turns into F3. I tracked down the exact source update where this happened but can't have it fixed. This most likely...

"Fix" for fatfury1

Anyone with good 68K and a MAME debug compile to make the date correct when the game ends? It currently displays "January 13th 1904", I looked where in P1/P2 could be a reference to this "19" to change into "20" but wasn't succesful :\

Congratulations! This is a nice time to have a pizza and beer - I prefer Coke though :-)

Very nice, kudos to everyone who helped!

Edit: a few corrections, under "Type (Watchpoint)":

'permeneant' = 'permanent'
There is a "decrement by 4" that shouldn't be there.

Even with the ROM cheat on, looks like the blue flash is still occuring when you attack, which the ROM cheat is supposed to suppress. Can you check this out? Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been visiting here lately. Well I checked and the cheat works correctly, as expected. Can you provide to ...

Re: [maxforce] MAME 0.62 Cheats

I guess that you haven't tried some Namco games or the "Cruis'n *" ones then which are MUCH slower than the Cojag games ... Funny, I thought the bad guys on this release were going to be the ones in the Cojag driver?! How come Cruis'n are even slower? At least Haze said his Athlon XP1800+...

[garou] Always Just Defend

As per KelvSYC request, Always Just Defend cheats. :garou:00000018:10047F:00000008:00000008:Always Just Defend P1 :garou:00000018:10057F:00000008:00000008:Always Just Defend P2 The game observes these addresses's bit 3, if they are set then it was just defended. This cheat has a drawback though: eve...

The math is:

I think there's a typo, as 0x96 is 150, but you said there were 160. I didn't say there are 160; I said there are 16 "paths" for each character. So the math is: 00 x 10 = 00 (1st) 01 x 10 = 10 (2nd) ... 15 x 10 = 150 (16th) This is simply an offset to values stores in ROM. Looking at the ...

[sfa3] Change sequence of adversaries (normal battle)

In this game, each character can have up to 16 different sequences of characters to fight with. The value in $FF8121 is an offset to predefined sequences of adversaries to each character you choose. After you choose your character, the program takes a random nibble (varies from $0 to $F) and multipl...

Small bug to report

I was assigning keys to cheats, and find out that some codes present in cheat.c don't correspond to the key actually assigned. As an example, the codes for "keypad +" and "keypad del" are respectively 53 and 54 according to the source, but these are the codes for Up and Down. You...

So Bugfinder... My tests shown that 0x11 is the value for Gen in Sou-ryuu and 0x13 is the value for Gen in Ki-ryuu. If you set the value for 0x13 in any of them (supposing Gen is NOT in X-ISM), will Gen start in Ki-ryuu instead of Sou-ryuu? You know, I'm not much of an expert on sfa3, and I haven't...

[sfa3] Choose sequence of characters in Dramatic Battle

Are you tired of always fighting Adon, Akuma, Balrog, Vega, Sagat and M. Bison in this very same order every time you play in Dramatic Battle? What about a change, with your customized adversaries? Cool heh :D Here are the ROM cheats you was waiting for: :sfa3:60000000:000000:00:00:[Choose your adve...
