Mame64 crashing with new cheat files

If I load SSF2T with the new February or even November 2011 cheat file, mame crashes after "initializing" dialog. Doesn't crash when the cheat switch is turned off so I'm guessing its a cheat or the file is too large?

Mame crashes when running with -debug on CPS3 games

I'm using Mame 1.42 and it crashes everytime I try to launch a cps3 game with the debugger, is this a known issue?

Ah, I really wanted to use IDA for its visual disassembler tree view though. I take it you're unsure as well?

Not sure where to ask this, so I'll ask in this fourm

Please move if this isn't appropriate for this area. I want to load some CPS2 games into IDA http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/. Which files should I actually load if I want to see the games code? Everytime I look into the rom zip files they are split files but I'm unsure which to load up. I understand...

Constant writes via debugger console?

Is it possible to do constant memory writes via the console? Kinda annoying loading a new xml everytime I want to test a cheat.

CPU Instruction set manuals PDF

It might be a good idea to put these in the "Other useful files" section, that is if this doesn't violate any sort of copyright laws or something, which I don't believe it does. I found these documents extremely helpful when traversing through game assembly. 68000 : I found this rather helpful when ...

[grdians] Guardians - Enemies Die in 1-Hit *EDITED*

EDIT: Wrote an ASM jump to check if it's P1 or P2 being damaged and to not kill them instantly if it is. So now the code only works for enemies. P1 and P2 still get damaged normally. Re: 68000 asm

Ahh, I have beq mystery I'm trying to resolve. If I'm correct, beq branches when the z flag is set, and I'm trying to determine when it gets set before that instruction.

EDIT:
Well, I ended up finding what I needed by following the instructions before the branch, what a pain :).

Is there any way to trace the cpu while keeping track of a flag? (In particular the Z flag).

Documentation for commands expressions

I just recently learning from pugsy you can write to ROM memory using maincpu.ox

Is there any documentation on the cheat engine, such as main.cpupx, main.cpumx etc...? I can't seem to find it on the MESS/MAME debugger wiki.
