Re: Konami PPC-based games

My PC is fast enough....just had to delete the nvram. Here's some off your list to use in cheat.simple for the time being. No time to look at others for the time being, life and sh*t. gticlub,:maincpu,588,d,0,Infinite Time terabrst,:maincpu,80046000,w,4800,Invincibility (Being Shot) terabrst,:maincp...

Re: Total Carnage cheats don't work

Had a quick look, seems there's an issue with the built-in cheat engine with totcarn. If you enable the cheats via the cheat plugin then the cheats all work. I generally just use the cheat plugin myself these days. To us it make sure you edit plugin.ini file:- cheat 1 cheatfind 1 Then just skip the ...

Re: mame32.0.9U1 Cheat Engine Help

mame32 0.9u1 sounds like it's MAME 0.90u1 from January 2005. The cheat file format has changed multiple times since 2005 so the newest cheat collection wont work. You will need to grab "Cheat File for MAME 0.81 (Release Date: 21st April 2004)" for that version of MAME. I'd recommend you up...

Re: [Brapboys] xml to dat

Sorry, the support for cheat.dat format is historical only. MAME has not supported cheat.dat since March 2009, if you are using a frankenstein build based on a MAME of that era then the cheats might not be a straight conversion and you certainly will not be seeing the best of MAME. I guess you are l...

Duckstation Cheats

I've created a large cheat file for the Duckstation, which is the best and nicest emulator for the Sony Playsation 1 console. The cheat file is based on the one I created for the games in the MAME PSX software list (in non-XML format). So I'll eventually be able to backport any cheats back into the ...

Re: HELP!! CHEATS NOT WORKING----NO OFF/OFF SWITCH, JUST CODE'S DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't need to worry about any of the old dat format lines like this:- :segacd:40000000:5E2A8:0000002D:FFFFFFFF:-----HOOK----- Infinite Time cheat.simple parsing just ignores it, it's there for when people post cheats to the forums - it makes adding the cheats to the XML easier at my end and will...

Re: Intel .HEX to cheat converter?

I think you may be overthinking it a bit...you can make the raw commands quickly with just Hxd and NPP. If you have the modified binary file starting from address 0, open it in HxD and change these settings (assuming you want to make 8 byte pokes):- View>Byte Group Size set to 8 View>Visible Colums ...

See my other post regarding T2 - it was never in the cheat collection ( I don't delete working cheats anyway ) and I don't have the cheat to add. Please point me to the "much older versions of the cheat file" that they were in please. And as for Revolution X, there are clearly P1 Always ha...

Re: Terminator 2 No Truck Damage

I have no record of such a cheat existing in the cheat collection. If 2wacked had the cheat it was never in the official cheat.dat file. Just post it here and I will add it...no need to resurrect an old thread to highlight the issue. The only cheats that get removed are broken or buggy cheats, and I...

Thanks, much appreciated....I did look at the code but I didn't know where to start for that. Whatever you think is best on 6 character codes, in the cheat.simple I use which is based on your original cheat.simple release I have 118 6-char nes codes (a third of them are for smb1 alone) compared with...

Thanks, q-worded and made it into a standard format cheat. Quickly duped for the 5 clones, though I don't know what the french, german & spanish versions will be saying. Duplicated using the following debugger find commands:- ;0200 = f 0,ffff,1,48,10,ed,78 ;2baf = f 0,ffff,cd,?,?,e6,1f,f6,60 <ch...

Re: cheat lua plugins

I've been noticing that some nes gg codes don't seem to work in cheat.simple.....I surmise this is the fact that it's searching in 8k blocks from 0000 and poking the first compare match it gets based on the comment "-- assume 8K banks, 32K also common but is an easy multiple of 8K" in chea...

Thanks to you both YK147 & LegitimatePride.

Fixed avspd for the next release.

Changed the X-Men: Children of the Atom parent cheat to a ROM cheat, and commented it out for the others for the time being.

Fixed the jailbrek Invincibility cheats (+ for the two clones).

Thanks again

They've always worked every time for me and still do. I've tested it quickly every time it's been reported and had no problems, maybe there's something that I'm not replicating when I test it or something that's not being mentioned in the bug report. I've converted the RAM cheat into a program code ...
