What about assigning an activation key?

Post by Pugsy »

Well I'm guessing what you asking here, but I think just assigning an activation key to the "Drain all Energy Now!" cheats for the MK series will sort you out....

Just edit the cheat in the cheat engine and assign a suitable key to the cheats you want.

No not really.
what i actually want is when it says finish him, all i want to do is press a button and and they do the fatality.

Can you program moves into games? so you dont have to press the same thing over again?
Like in streetfighter you have "easy" special moves without havinf to do the motion for the move itself.

Having done a quick search of mk, I found move list cheats to be from the "difficult" to "impossible without using pointer/rom cheat" range.

It's because of the fact that mk (when I'm referrring to mk it's not just mk and its clones, but also those of mk2 and mk3 and their clones as well) runs on some complicated hardware (I mean, I've seen requests for infinite time cheats for mk since the v.36 betas, and they've only been done now). Finding CPS or Neo (minus KOF) move list cheats are way easier.

It's also partially because of the fact that mk is a tap-based fighter (ie. its moves are closer to that of Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu), so all my conventional move list finding tactics that work for CPS/Neo fighters don't work (as there are no charge or half-circle moves that might get the ball rolling). Plus, I suck at mk, and can't do anything good without looking at a game guide.

Plus, as I stated in my garou move list cheats, I won't be making any real effort to find move list cheats for a long time, unless I can be assured that it can be done with a minimal amount of effort.

However, rest assured that if these cheats are found by myself (I can't speak for others), I will cover all the bases (ie. I will post move list cheats for all specials and finishers).

1. There is no such feature in MAME that lets you record keystrokes like they do in Kawaks and Nebula.

2. "Input" refers to which keys "on the machine" are mapped to which keys "on your keyboard".

3. The cheat engine only makes cheats. What else do you think we could be making...?
