NEW UPDATED MAME CHEAT FILE FINALLY OUT!!!!

Do I need to say anymore, it's been a while....I've still got a few cheats to check and add though I think you've all waited long enough!

Very nice, kudos to everyone who helped!

Edit: a few corrections, under "Type (Watchpoint)":

'permeneant' = 'permanent'
There is a "decrement by 4" that shouldn't be there.

One small comment though: right now the file includes an underscore command to disable the labels in advaned cheat search mode - was this intended?

I've fixed the typos, cheers Bugfinder (though it's too late for this release so it will be in the next one...)

Ian, well it was my intention I guess - it's my default setting because I found the RHS LHS malarky a tadge confusing. Though on the bright side if somebody finds the option to turn the advanced cheat search on turning the labels on is the next option..

Next time though I'll just comment out my personnal options and leave it to other people to decide what they want.

If memory serves me right, Bugster, you coined the term "underscore command", and all the major cheat guides use it, so there we go.

Looks like the main site design's a bit better.

Also noticed a few potshots at me there...

Here's a statistic:

Percentage of Games with Cheats
v.67 - 99.01% (3788/3826)
v.56.1 - 99.84% (3150/3155)
v.56 - 99.43% (3137/3155)
v.54 - 98.90% (3068/3102)

A question: a few nonofficial cheat files float around here and there. I don't have any on hand, but are there cheats there that are not in this file?

I wouldn't say pot shots as such, it's just my sense of humour......you do like your fighters though

Results for V56 look really good because we worked hard at getting them down and also the broken games got removed around about the same time. 99.01% isn't bad - definitely something to build on!

Well there's only one other cheat file which isn't a blatant no-brainer cut and paste job from this cheat file/The Ultimate Patcher's files/ or cheats posted on these forums. And that is Wayder's cheat file and that has a fair few unique cheats though as far as I recall it's fairly small <100K and a fair few of the cheats are already in the cheat file, it's just going to take some time to work through them and give them better descriptions, the remains of that cheat file are in my WIP section already
