Thanks though, there is a infinite time cheat in cheat.dat for this already though the shortname is incorrect due to MAME changes search for Buggy Boy in the cheat file. Either way the Time cheat will have to be turned off at the end of leg 5.
Also the Last Lap (5th) cheat is cosmetic only it changes the top of the screen to LEG 5 but that's alll it does as far as I can see - you still have to do all 5 legs.
Anyway, here's a few cheats of my own - they should be in the WIP forum really as they are not complete. And I've changed the Infinite Time cheat into a ROM cheat but it stops the Timer decreasing and doesn't maximise it (still Infinite though and it cures the problem with the cheat having to be switched off)

I tested the cheat and it let me finish the harder round in 1 only lap... but I did not tested it with other levels... maybe you are right, I found 2 memory location for the laps... and maybe I choose the 1st one I tryed because I tested it on the harder level making me ending it in only 1 lap but maybe the harder stage is made of only 1 lap in origin... complex to explain, hope you understood... thank you for the correction !
