Double Dragon ...is it true that...?

If you are having problems finding or using cheats for an Emulator (particularly MAME/MESS) or have found a trick that you wish to share this is the place to do it. But please read the Cheat FAQ first.

Double Dragon ...is it true that...?

Post by Lantern Jaw »

Hi All,

Is it true that in order to use the CPU overclocking cheat where you can overide the emulation slow down of double dragon 1 and 2, I'll have to revert back to an old "cheat.dat" enabled version of mame?

Does anyone know what I mean? Please help if you do because I don't really fancy using an older version if I can help it.

Thanks :)

AFAIK to use 'overclocking cheats' you must use a cheat.dat version of MAME. The new cheat engine doesn't support overclocking cheats but then it doesn't need to - there are overclocking options under the Slider Controls which you can find two places above the cheat option in the ingame MAME menus (don't know how well they work though).
