Duckstation Cheats

I've created a large cheat file for the Duckstation, which is the best and nicest emulator for the Sony Playsation 1 console.

The cheat file is based on the one I created for the games in the MAME PSX software list (in non-XML format). So I'll eventually be able to backport any cheats back into the MAME cheat collection - it's a win-win.

The cheat file is part of the Duckstation distribution, so if you want to submit cheats you can either submit updates via GIT at the above git project or post them in this forum.

I might even post some of my own duckstation cheats in this very thread...

Do i just get you MAME cheat codes and put them into the cheats folder in /documents/duckstation

No, the cheat collection is included as part of Duckstation. If you have Duckstation then you already have the cheats.

So the only (Duckstation) cheats for Twisted Metal 2 is
1. "infinite energy" but its actually "infinite health".
2. Widescreen

Am I missing something?
No matter how much I try the codes as game is running (player input) it doesnt work.

Obviously, it's impossible for me to make/check all the cheats - so there will be errors as there are so many versions of the games and the original cheat creators weren't clear on which version the cheat was for.

Do neither the Infinite Energy or Widescreen cheats work then?

Can you see if these work for you please and report back.

Infinite Armor is probably Infinite Energy/Health in the following list

In duckstation to add them select Tools-->Cheat Manager-->Import-->From Text and then paste the cheats below in (you can add them in one go, no need to add them cheat by cheat).

Thanks for reporting back, I will include the update the next time I update the duckstation cheats.

I've never visited supercheats, such sites are ten a penny.

The cheats where in my unverified collection of cheats, those particular cheats (along with cheats for another 965 games) I ripped from the arpsxps1 chd in the MAME psx softwarelist. I knocked up a quick C program to parse the original Action Replay binary data file into a text file, unfortunately there is no way of determining the actual version of the game they were originally made for (without getting & playing the game)....hence why they where in my unverified collection.

Hi. I just started using Duckstation as after updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11, all ePSXe ISO's are locked to 30FPS. I have a bunch of cheats in ePSXe and not all the cheats are in Duckstation, like G-Darius (J). How do I import the cheats (in text files eg: SCES_000.07.txt) into Duckstation as I can't play without cheats? Please asssist.

The number of cheats in Duckstation cheat collection is greater than the number of cheats in the official ePSXe cheat collection. For the Air Combat [Europe] SCES_000.07.txt file you mentioned all of the cheats in that file are already in the Duckstation collection.

Anyway I digress.

From Cheat Manager, click on the "Import" and select "From File..." and select the file. <-- simple as that

Alternatively if you just have raw cheats. From Cheat Manager, click on the "Import" and select "From Text..." and paste the cheat text in (all in one go):

I want to import the cheats from G-Darius (J) as it has full weapon powerup as the us version in Duckstation only has god mode and infinite lives.

The files I have in ePSXe are like:
SLES_228.99.txt

What would the name be for G-Darius (J)? How do I import them in Duckstation as I don't have a cheat manager?

EDIT: I tried to put them in manually in the Duckstation database but it STILL says "No cheats found" Please assist.

If you have enabled cheats you are using "Cheat Manager".....it's part of Duckstation.

BTW, the cheats in my previous post are for "G. Darius (USA) (1998) (THQ) {SLUS-00690}"...though not currently tested

I tried importing the G-Darius (U) cheats into the database via Notepad, but the new cheats are NOT showing. Only inf credits, inf lives, and invincibility for player and 2 and the show movies option. I want the max weapon cheats for all weapons. Also, I can't use my analog sticks, like I could on ePSXe.

I have been under a lot of stress lately, with untreated depression, anxiety, insomnia, and Sinus Tachycardia, so as trivial as it sounds, not being able to use all the cheats it's taking a huge toll on me. If someone could be so kind as to import these cheats into a format that Duckstation would accept my appreciation would know no bounds. I am including a Mediafire link with ALL the cheats I use in ePSXe.

I much prefer Duckstation as it's the first emulator I tried that actually has perspective-correct textures and the XBR filter isn't full of glitches like Pete's OpenGL tweaks plugin has.

And as for the analog sticks, you simply have to set your controller up as a Analog Controller,

EDIT:
I got the same controller message on Ray Storm, but it let me use the analog sticks. I don't know why I am restricted to the D-Pad on G-Darius.

It's OK. I finally figured it out and fixed it. I have all the cheats for G-Darius (J)!

The only issue I have left is being able to use the analog sticks for my Xbox One Series X controller. On ePSXe, I was able to use both the D-Pad and the analog stick. Is there any way to force the analog sticks to work? When I open the game it says analog mode is disabled by game settings, reverting to digital mode. I have it set up just like the image you shared.
