The Move List Cheat Collection Contest

Post by kelvSYC »

Here's your chance to get an advance copy of my upcoming cheat file (one week before releasing it to the general public), titled kelvSYC's Move List Cheat Collection, featuring all MLCs, all the time.

All you have to do is to guess the number of total lines the cheat file will contain when it is released WITHOUT going over (ie. Price is Right rules).

For a consolation prize, the users who can guess, to within one percentage point, the length of the cheat file relative to Pugsy's v.56 cheat file, will be given a sneak peek at a WIP version of the Guide. If you do not give a percentage, this percentage will be based on the number of lines you specify.

Edited posts will be disqualified.

The contest is open to anyone registered on the cheat board, except myself, of course. So place your bets and see who shall win.

I'd also like to add that xmcota and samsho4 are the last sets of MLCs I'll be posting on this board. Further updates to MLCs (as well as MLCs for new games) will be in the MLC collection. (Non-MLC cheats will be posted here as usual).

Also consider the fact that the MLC collection includes cheats for all players for both parents AND clones. I'd give you a rough estimate of the length, but that would be ruining the contest.

UPDATE (12-31-02): Since the release of Pugsy's cheat file, to my knowledge, does not seem imminent, I officially announce the release of the Move List Cheat Collection (as well as the posting of the xmcota/samsho4 MLCs) on 1-24-03. This means that the winner will be announced the first chance I get to see this board on 1-17-03. So place your bets now!

3602

78% of how big Pugsy's is. (IE. if his was 10MB, yours would be 7.8MB)

Wait, is yours bigger or smaller than Pugsy's?

Time's up! The results are in!

The MLC Collection is 45737 lines long. With Pugsy's v.56 cheat file at 80305 lines, the MLC Collection is 56.95% (rounded to 57%) as long as Pugsy's file.

So who was our winner? Let's see our guesses:

Mike - 3000 lines, 3.74% of Pugsy's file
rahga - 1 line, insignificant percentage of Pugsy's file (you can easily tell it's more than one line anyways...)
Gemini - 3602 lines, 4.49% of Pugsy's file

No contest, Gemini wins the early copy of the MLC Collection.

Anyone who guessed between 44971 (56%) and 46576 (58%) lines would have gotten my WIP copy of the Guide, but sadly, everyone's guesses were way off.

Oh well, next time...
