Anyone know how Game Shark and Game Genie codes are converted to RAM and ROM cheats?

I will commit seppuku if Team Marubaku does not upload replay video footage of OutRun 2SP by the end of July!

I have created various tools that I use to convert GG and PAR codes (nes,gb,gbc,sms,gamegear,genesis/megadrive and snes) into MESS cheat files. It's not a brainless process though and to create a cheat collection for each system still requires a fair bit of work.
Obviously to make such cheat collections require massive text lists of cheats, so far I've done nes,megadrive and gamegear and I've not got around to doing SNES, SMS or gb/gbc collections yet as I need to find suitable collection of cheats to convert.

Thanks for the reply Pugsy, yeah sorry about the crazy necro bump I was just desperately curious about this. Thanks for informing me that it is not a brainless process. That makes it out of my league, as I have no brain for cheat coding
