1st of all THANK YOU for your cheats !

I tested your codes and they works quite well.
Here is a full explanation:

You can use them between a level and another to change pilot at each level (cool "feature").

If you use it during a level you change the weapons (fire and bombs) but not the airplane (another cool "feature"); the airplane will change in the next level.

You can also activate all the cheats together but only the pilot with the greater data value will be displayed.

With cheats you can also use the same pilot in the 2 players mode, but the intermediate sequences and the ending sequence will be a screen with airplanes in background with UNDEFINE EVENT written on it (the game will not crash but no sequence will be displayed).

Unfortunately the intermediate sequences and the ends are always dependant to the character choice at the beginning of the game so this cheat is not useful if you want to see different endings.

Are you able to find the memory location that changes also the intermediate and endng sequences ?

There IS a "stage select".

Use that along with the pilot codes to finish the game. (I'd check if this works, but I've gotta go out in a minute)

Yes, the stage select will "sort it out", but it's the same also without using your cheats... I mean you can "manually" select the players.
Anyway all endings are now provided, go to mamend to see them :)

There's a 5th character in the game, he's incomplete and has buggy graphics but is fully playable. His dialogue and bomb are that of Sinosuke. He was finished for the Dreamcast port and made into a secret character named Stranger.

Only tested with the USA version, perhaps someone else could test the clones.
