CHD Speedup Hacks?

CHD Speedup Hacks?

Anybody able to make some speed hack cheats for the slow CHD games like Gauntlet and the others?

If you should get speed up via cheat engine, you might not feel it due to current emulation or YOUR PC problem. Although it's difficult to search a code the same reason. So I think you have to challenge to improve an emulation OR break the PC to get new at the beginning.

The existing speedup hacks primarily work by finding when the game would start waiting for vblank, or when no threads are scheduled. The driver then traps these situations and halts the CPU until it would normally exit the wait loop. The cheat engine can't really do that as it requires executing code on the emulator side when an emulated CPU hits a certain PC. It's pretty easy to do via editing the driver, though.
