MAME XML Cheats Collection for MAME 0.139

Upgraded to MAME Plus 0.130u2. Ran SD Gundam. Hit tab. Found a working cheat menu. That is a miracle in and of itself considering I didn't have a cheat menu in 0.129u5 or 0.130u1.

Us vs Them -

Infinite Energy = No Enemies, and the game will crash at the first level with energy barriers.

No Hits Sustained = Hits to player are registered, Enemy ships destroyed are not.

I can't confirm or fix...14 gigs (or whatever) for a game that is 25 years old is a bit of a waster of my bandwidth.

Anybody with this chd care to have a look, please.

Thought I would mention that everything seems to still work as of 0.130u3. Pretty much the first time since 0.123 that I updated and found more fixed than broken in the first 5 minutes.

in the previeus mame cheat format there was an order that i could search for any kind of cheats by miself(a kind of a search cheats)

in the new xml format there is no any order to i can try to find any cheats

can you tell me how i can find new cheats...even for games which they have also cheats that have been posted here?

There currently is no search capability in the new search engine (yet!?), you can either use an older MAME or an external program....you can get some pointers here:-

Updated, the 0.131 XML Cheat Collection has just been released. It's no longer based on the 0.126 cheat file - so all 8030 games have now got an XML file even if it's just some text saying why the game has no cheats.

Fixed the usvsthem cheat, you can find it in the cheat section (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3406)

Hope I'm reporting this right. Sorry if you're already aware of the issue.

The invincibility cheat in Turbo Force (turbofrc) causes the vehicle to stop responding to the controls. It IS invincible but is unresponsive, and instead of moving normally, it moves forward quickly continually; once it passes the top of the screen, it reappears at the bottom. The issue seems to occur only once a new level is started after the cheat is initialized: at first I thought it was only a problem with level two since that's when things always went wrong, but then if I reset the game after initializing the cheat, the problem occurred right from the start.

The issue happens with whichever of the three players have the cheat enabled. For instance, if P2 has the invincibility cheat on but P1 and P3 don't, P2's vehicle will malfunction but the other two will work normally.

I get this problem with the XML cheats in MAME 0.131 AND in cheat.dat in the older version of MAME I use sometimes, 0.63.

Thanks, this issue (+solution) is identified by the comment at the top of the cheat selection menus stating "Turn off cheats with F6 at the start of each level!". However, I'll look at doing something with it for the next XML collection release

Max charge cheats for megaman2 seem to have been processed incorrectly.

One of the Cheat Codes for Hard Drivin' is not working. The Minimum Lap Time does not work. When you go the the finish line, It should not only say "Extended Play" but also say "Qualified for Championship" when you have a lap time faster than 1:38:00. When the minimum lap time is 0:00:00, It should be able to qualify you for championship. Instead it just keeps say "Extended Play" over and over without any ending.

It Should Say:

YOU QUALIFIED
LAST: 0:00:00

the game growl (on both versions) whenever you want to use infinite ammo, or select weapon, the game just freeze

Couldn't play this game in anything other than 1st Gear even in Auto Transmission...must be doing something wrong.

Anyway if you know what you are doing try replacing "Minimum Lap Time" in harddriv.xml with this, should hopefully work (i've replicated it for the clones already):

I have a parsing error with my cheat.zip when I try to run dkong.

dkong.xml(5): error parsing cheat expression "maincpu.pb@6001=90" (invalid memory name)

I'm pretty sure I've got the right settings, as far clicking "enable cheats" and the directory is "cheat" in MAMEUI32. I think I've hit a brick wall here. I'd be obliged for whatever help you can give.
