The latest cheat file should work for 99% of all supported games in 0.248, at worst you might need to rename one or two cheat files to work with a ROM set that since has been renamed. MAMEUI is (or was) pretty much regular MAME with a 1999-era Windows UI hacked on.

Knew there must have been something iffy with SSF2T's CPU opponents after all those years. Never occurred with the CPS1 games or New Challengers but suddenly the CPU decides it wants to kick your ass in 15 seconds instead of eating every move under the sun? Probably a deliberate "mistake" ...

It's a System 246 game, AFAIK nothing even emulates that hardware yet, come back in 2040. Is it even dumped to begin with? 't show up in MAME's source code or on redump.org.

It might be possible to alter the frame data of the animation itself rather than needing to hack all 23 movesets every time, although I have no idea where to look. midwunit.cpp doesn't show any RAM in the 0x8000000 region either. Sure it's not just a mirror? For example, what is 0x005C7400 or 0x015C7400 etc.? PS1 games tend to so that a lot as well. A ROM cheat might be more viable if the data isn't compressed e.g. just NOP it out.

I could have sworn I did this for the Tekken games 10+ years ago, but apparently only the Tekken 1 "Select Player Type" cheat made it into the XML. I might have to do something about that...

Should be, although it would be redundant if the cheats are already in MAME via the internal cheat engine. Not sure if the Game Genie is hooked up in the NES driver as an actual Game Genie as I have never tried it, but the Game Genie's ROMs are in the XML.

MAME's N64 driver is marked as not working, the game is most likely not supported yet (e.g. use Mupen64Plus/ParaLLEl or Project64 for now).

DoDonPachi SaiDaiOuJou (2012/ 4/20) [ddpsdoj] is now in MAME in time for the new year, but not quite in time for the 0.239 release. This version is apparently not the Knuckles hack though.

FWIW the Knuckles hack will be in HBMAME, as it is an unofficial game and the original dump the hack was made from can't be trusted at this point so it too probably won't end up in MAME any time soon.

Assuming it's just a single button autofire cheat, the cheats probably disappeared when MAME itself implemented autofire. These days autofire is done via a plugin, make sure it's enabled in plugin.ini (or via the UI before loading a game).
