It's a bug in the current versions of MAME, and it doesn't look like Aaron is very interested in fixing it.

It's a cheat, an address used by a function of the game. You can't 'own' a cheat, it's a factual piece of information.

fwiw if you want to find cheats on the SMS or GG stuff you'll have to manually enable searching of all regions. The cheat engine won't pick them up by default at the moment because I install the memory map manually to give me greater flexibility.

There is a dump of High Seas Havoc / Captain Lang Arcade in MAME.. but it seems they encrypted various bits of the code (those which differ from the console version) I was unable to decrypt them properly.

well some of the shortnames do suck, but I'll probably leave them as they are anyway, personally as long as I can remember them I don't mind how bad they are
