PsikyoSH level select cheats

You can get an a stage select by holding PL1 Button 1 whilst resetting with Test switch depressed (hold F2+Ctrl and hit F3). This works for sbomberb, s1945ii (Buggy hence the cheats, plus first for stages are random) (and some earlier games i.e gunbird, s1945). Loderndf and Gunbird2 need special cod...

No, you are in the right place.
The hardware can be a pain because the addresses for the cheats can change.
I'll have a look if I get the chance.

Can you explain how to get the fire mode?
(I must admit to not really having played them very much)

I noticed a few problems with the above cheats of mine though: 1. It seems there is a third type of collision that occurs between you and the Ewok traps and the shields inside the Deathstar. Unfortunately I can never manage to collide with them as it gets so jerky with trace on :) 2. You need the se...

OK I wrote this so I might as well paste it ;) The problem is that the code between 0-0x7fff is banked from one of three banks stored in REGION_CPU1 ROM_REGION( 0x1C000, REGION_CPU1, 0 ) /* 64k for code + 48k for banked ROMs */ ROM_LOAD( "14f_221.bin", 0x08000, 0x4000, 0x414d05e3 ) ROM_LOA...

Actually, now I've got into the test menu it seems that PL1 and PL2 should probably be replaced with Screen 1 and Screen 2 respectively.

Maybe the values are wrong then. I checked that they worked with all characters before submitting them. Maybe they got confused with Pon's cheats submitted at the same time?

Ian, I've noticed some strangeness w.r.t watchpoints. Hitting 's' on a watchpoint saves it, but the length saved appears to be incorrect. i.e I'm saving a 32-bit watchpoint of length 4. However it gets saved as a 32-bit watchpoint with length 6? Also, disabling a watch-cheat does nothing. Would it b...

Noticed a small bug.

With cheats that prompt the user for a value, you can ignore the range imposed on it by just typing a different value using the num keys.

Bug, or feature?

One thing about MESS though. Is it that NG roms are always set to Arcade mode in MAME and home mode in MESS, thus making NG roms playable in both? To me it makes sense that way. I don't think MESS includes neogeo games, even set to console mode. Not sure why, but I would guess they want to keep a l...

I've got to go home and try the new code, but in the previous version there was a crash when I tried to delete a result from the results list by pressing 'd'. (They were bit, if it makes any difference).

Hitting 's' on a watch didn't save it, like the old ver.

The restore results didn't work for me?

Anyway i tried the code you listed but the dip switches didn't seem to have any effect. Did you place the dip AFTER the other dips ;) It needs to be the 5th port (i.e readinputport(4) ). Oh BTW you list 0x0F000000 as the address that it tests the region against i take it that's i/o as isn't that ou...

D'oh, I found them last week. I've spent the intervening time working out how it all works. You've probably spotted that it does a TST #0F against a value read from the EEPROM address to determine whether to clear 6000004/6040004 or not. i.e the lower 4 (or 3 for soldivid) bits of MSB32 of 5800004. ...

To not include it simply remove it from being compiled in. i.e comment it out in src/windows/windows.mak (I think).

Better? Probably not, but you can play the broken games until they are fixed.
