Emulator Cheats

Hmmm.....I have tried Mameplus 125u4 with cheat.dat, but is doesn't work.

This is more of a request for help on the boss codes for Kabuki Klash, I am running Mame 60 and they don't seem to work. I have been selecting on the select screen but does not change like other games do. Anyone know what to do? Thanks
