CheckCDB is dead !

CheckCDB is no more working for MAME 0.59 because there are too many games in MAME

Note however that you can still use it if you #ifdef all NEOGEO games in the source files, but this solution might not be the best one ...

I hope that Ian or I will be able to update this cool tool ...

Yes it's mainly a syntax checker. Though it's more advanced than a mere syntax checker. Download it from the tools section and have a play with a MAME older than 0.59.

In the checkcdb.ini file, change this line :

SectionMark={}

to

SectionMark=[]

This way, you'll avoid having an error for each game ...

Note that there are some KNOWN bugs in CheckCDB, so it's no use reporting them ...
