[tattass+] Character Selection

As per the request - I don't know much about this one so it's in here. Both games use the same locations in RAM.

105511 seems to change characters but it locks the character mid-game or after character selection. This one I'll need some help with I think.

I changed the infinite time cheat to a freeze timer one, rather than making it update the 99 seconds part (I do this on most of my cheats, including Tekken). Whichever one's better I don't know; they both do the job...

I can't find the character selection timer though (keeps automatically starting)... Maybe this one needs a ROM cheats.

I don't suppose anyone could also do a stage select cheat while the game is up?

A fatality cheat (also requested) wouldn't be possible at the time being. I don't think move list cheats have been made in years. If it's not Street Fighter no-one seems to care about moves; and SF2 had so few it wasn't funny anyway! I personally wouldn't mind seeing/making one for Tekken or MK but I'm in the dark on how to make/find them.

Yes they both DO the job, however you can easy modify the 99 seconds time cheat to a 'Finish this Round Now!' cheat and also it will always shows the maximum time in accordance with the general cheat files 'guidelines'. If one alone is to be chosen it should be the 99 seconds cheat

Probably a word timer...to be honest I don't think character selection time cheats are really worth the effort.

Like any other cheats...though more time and patience and it may need the debugger - not the easiest of cheats to find in many respects. The biggest problem is that you need to know how to implement the fatalities properly to begin with. Good Luck

Sorry about missing your codes, I possibly skipped them at the time because they weren't in the correct select format and they were for one player only.

Yeah I still dont get that format thing. As far as finding them for player 2 do you just go one address over (most of the time) or do you have to do a seperate search.

The format is not that hard to understand you place a select (type 6200000x) cheat before all you cheats you want to place in a list and then you change the type of the cheats you require in the list from 0000000x to 0001000x. Finally you'd change the descriptions of the cheats in the list to reflect the fact that they are in a list and not standalone....eg so you'd not need "Play as Derek O'Toole PL1" you'd only need "Derek O'Toole" as the Play as and PL1 parts are converted by the "Select Character PL1" list cheat.


PL2 cheats are normally found by doing separate searches - the searches are generally much quicker because you at the very least know the start value. With the character select searches it's even simpler because you know the values of all the characters you have the exact start value and the exact increment/decrement between characters from PL1.
