Mame 2003 Pro Cheats

Hi Everyone. Newb looking for some help. I am using Batocera V36 and have tried online updater for cheats.

It's downloaded and extracted cheats in reteoarch but nothing for mame.

I tried to search for cheats in the cheat menu but everyone time I try it gives a message search has not started/initiazied

MAME2003 not surprisingly is based on a MAME version from 20 years ago (to allow it run on potato devices) with MAME license breaking additions.

You will need to manually download a suitable cheat.dat from the 2003 era and put that in a suitable location manually.

I'd personally suggest you grab a newer standalone version of MAME for the PC as RetroArch is not the best way to use MAME and you will enjoy more games, more cheats and more accurate emulation.
