Is it ok to post cheats for customised versions of MAME?

Hi I am new around here. I have a "cheat" that fixes the brake input for Street Drivin' but it requires the "src/mame/atari/harddriv.cpp" source file to be modified very slightly on a couple of lines for it to work without glitching. I was wondering if i can post the cheat code in .xml format and explain what lines need to be modified in the "src/mame/atari/harddriv.cpp" source file for it to work properly? I think there is a steering issue too but it can be resolved by setting up Race Drivin' in the test menu then copy and pasting the nvram files for Race Drivin' into the Street Drivin' nvram folder.

I just fixed the source code in mame so no cheats needed and hopefully will be incorporated into the upcoming releases.
