[mk3,umk3] cheat question

how do I activate the hidden character cheats for Mortal Kombat 3 and Ulimate Mortal Kombat 3? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You must not have any other cheat on (since otherwise, the NVRAM, which this cheat writes to, will not be saved).

Then, activate and reset the machine.

One caveat is that this is an old-style cheat, and perhaps a new-style cheat that writes directly to the NVRAM, instead of writing to a place that will be saved to NVRAM, is more appropriate. Someone should look into it.
