Can you still get the Mame options by pressing TAB? :-?

I don't know if this would help but you could try looking in the ctrlr folder for the Windows config notepad and check to see if it looks like this:

Code: Select all

# Windows custom input configuration file

UI_CONFIGURE "KEYCODE_TAB ! KEYCODE_LALT ! KEYCODE_RALT"

# OSD Input 1 is defined as "Toggle fullscreen"
OSD_1 "KEYCODE_LALT KEYCODE_ENTER"
You may want to notice this: UI_CONFIGURE "KEYCODE_TAB...

If I'm wrong then maybe someone that knows can help you better.

(I should've looked here before) but what about the 'std' notepad? That too has the UI_Configure...... "Keycode_Tab" in it too. Maybe you knew about that. But if that's not it then are you using...

C:\Mame\mame [name of game] -c :-? Stupid Question - I know. I can't think of anything else to ask right now.

Now if it's for Mame32 then I can't help you here 'cause I've never used that before.

edit: The only thing I could suggest (if everything else seems in order) is to re-DownLoad the Cheat.dat. Perhaps something got messed up in the one you have now. :-?

Find the "cfg" folder in your MAME dir, delete the "default.cfg" file in it..
