I'm currently running Mame on Mame32. I am not sure if it is a setting in the configuration that was doing this, but it seems for just about every game I run, the game will run fairly normally for a while, then at times, the game process/animation, etc. will become slow motion, then after a few seconds later, quickly played catch up (e.g. looks like fast forwarded) to become normal game speed again, only to have it do this again, perhaps a little while later.
Has anyone else encountered this problem while running Mame32?
Thanks!
Mame32 question
Make sure there aren't any other applications running in the background that could be fighting for your system resources. These things could be spyware... and even sometimes anti-spyware applications (SpySweeper ). I don't use mame32, but this could be what is causing it. I always shut down SpySweeper. If I don't; I always get sporadic events of slow down or sound sputtering/skipping.
I've never had it have to play catch up... well, maybe once many versions ago when I played Cruisin' USA. And that was even with the throttle on.

As always, your patients is appreciated.
