Having trouble with Robotron (Invincibility) cheat???

Hi,

I'm having trouble activating the invincibility cheat for Robotron 2084. I'm running MAME 0.88 with cheat file 116. I'm also using the Robotron 2084 (Blue Label) rom.

What's happening is I'm enabling the invincibility cheat to "ON" but I'm still getting killed.

Can anyone here help me out and tell me what could be the problem?

Try using a newer MAME preferably MAME 0.116.

Hi Pugsy,

I downloaded Mame0116. However, when I try to run the game Robotron I get the following error message:

decoder .4 not found
decoder .6 not found

Does this mean I have a bad ROM? If so, would you know where I can get a good version.

I was able to run Robotron on my previous version. After searching on the net, I was only able to find 2 rom versions of the game. And neither version has these 2 files.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are plenty of places with ROMs like torrent sites (eg. pleasuredome) which are easy enough to find.

For future reference though please don't request ROMs or were to find them on these forums.
