Newer cheat.7z archives prevent you from modiying the archive?

Before, I could open the cheat.7z with 7zip and I could extract a .xml file, modify a cheat, and re-add the file back to the cheat.7z.
On the latest arcives, when I do that, I get a "not implemented" error. I googled that message and it seems there's a problem with the actual file. I opened a years old cheat.7z file I had, I clicked on Info (the yellow "i" button) and I get no error messages. But on the last few releases, if you press the Info button, you get this "error":
"Warning: there are some data after the end of the payload data"
I think that's what is causing the issue and preventing me from being able to modify the archive. Could this be looked into a maybe fixed in a future archive?
