Where does it say that? Search the last released cheat.dat for 'infinite credits' and you'll find a _lot_ of entries...

I think Wisemen is getting confused the only sort of cheats I generally won't add are Maximum Score cheats for anything other then sporty type games which need the score changing to win, if it's just to get on the high score table I don't think they are worthwhile - remember MAME doesn't save your high scores if you use the cheat engine.
Another possiblility for confusion from the cheat file, in the reason section:-
Infinite Credits count as a cheat...it's just on their own they are NOT enough to classify a game as having cheats as it doesn't make the game any easier.
Hope that clears things up, and thanks to Red, ShimaPong, darkfantager and any others for posting cheats recently and keeping the cheat forum active. It will definitely make my life easier when I come to do a full cheat file update when I get a decent amount of spare time to devote to it. Cheers.
