Annoucement : Mame32 ini listing games that need cheats

Over the past few days I made up an .ini file for mame32 which lists all the games that have no cheats. The file is broken up into several categories, the main two of which are 'Playable' and 'Not working' games.

Using this list you can easily see which games need cheats. It has been checked against this forum reasonably thoroughly, and is up-to-date as of 29th May 2004.

Please find the file in zip format here :

Code: Select all

and in unzipped format here :

Code: Select all

http://cheat.retrogames.com/Need Cheats.ini
You'll need to copy the entire line and paste it into a new browser to download, sorry... It's the space in the file name. I'll sort that out with the next version.

The file just needs to be placed (unzipped) into your folders directory in a mame32 setup. I honestly don't know if it will work with other mame setups, however any 'front end' that supports the folders directory will work fine.

I hope people find this of use and I'll endeavour to keep it up-to-date every day to every second day. It all depends on Pugsy's ability to upload it to the site and how many posts are made on this forum.

I've updated my internal version to include todays cheat posts, and will send it to Pugsy later today (for me).

Enjoy.

I've updated the list for the cheats posted for the past few days.

Since it looks like Haze has taken off for a few months I doubt there will be much in the way of MAME updates, so now would be a good time to hunt for cheats for these games.

Get the updated lists here :

And

As promised I removed the space :)
