Entering POKES using WinVICE 64 Emulator?

How do you enter POKES when using an emulator? I just dont have a clue, could some one post a step by step guide how to do it?

Easiest way in VICE is convert the value into hex (use the windows calculator)

So POKE 49152,169
becomes C000 A9

then when the game has loaded in VICE

CTRL+M to bring up the monitor and then type

> C000 A9
Note you have to type the right facing chevron


then type X to return to the game.



The alternate way is to find an image of say an AR6 ROM and then load that into VICE, using the monitor is far easier
