Do it in the test menu (F2 while the game is in attract mode)

tried that...didn't work.

I'm surprised they didn't do it like they did for umk3:

lose your match and wait out the "insert credit to continue" counter then use a code to fill out/trick the ultimate code into being filled out and being accepted.
