Here's a cheat that controls which mode May Lee is in.

With May Lee, pressing ABC changes modes. May Lee will also change into Normal Mode if hit during Hero Mode.

With this cheat, May Lee will remain in the mode you choose (for Hero Mode, even if May Lee is hit out of it).
