Need help to solve "The Lands of havoc"

This is a very hard to complete game.
This link has the cheated version and many of my savegame snapshots.
The maps of this game are really hudge and the last part of the game when you have to find and touch 9 lords is really impossible.
If you miss one and collect the 5 coins just to enter another world you can't finish the game.
There are so many little angles to explore and maps were never released.

Is there a way to have infinity coins so it doesn't need anymore to waste time in search of the last coin useful to open a passage?

Apart of invincibility that is already done, are there other hints, tips and tricks to let this game easier in the last section?

Had a quick look couldn't find any coins before I hit the room with the skull and crossbones in and then I couldn't move.

If you can provide me a couple of saves, AR prefered but I will take VICE 2.1 with 1 coin , 2 coins, 3 coins , 4 coins and one where you are about to get the 5th coin and one where you are about to use them I'll see what I can do.

No c64 emulator will automap...I take it you mean as you play it will take a screenshot of every screen and then magically join them in the right places? Dream on!

Anyway, the coins are important in the second and third part of the game
In the first part you have just to get the objects and follow the instruction given, how to use them.
The savegames I've sent you were regarding the third part of the game.
In this part you have to find the dark lords in the caves and touch them.
Coins you need to open door passages that bring you to other part of the hudge dedalo.

Take a look please and if you still need other savegames, as you told me, please let me know.

I skipped the post when you originally made it as I was busy with MAME stuff, but not surprisingly the link being almost a year old is now dead.

(part 1 and part 2 are easily solved, the problem is on the last part of the game. Inside the zip file there are 3 folders with savegames. Each one refers to a part of the game )

3) another savegame to check:
I'm blocked in this level. From this point I can see a token but it is impossible to reach that way from any part of the labyrinth (it could be a game bug?)
Maybe that is the right way to follow to find the exit of this "level" but how can I get it?
Can you find a poke that let the main character pass through the background?
I've tried to disable sprite/background collision in the emulator menu but nothing has changed.

Is there a poke that allow crossing background WITHOUT BREAKING possibility of getting objects?



What do you think of the third part of the game?
There are few levels that must be completed at the end because from they're point of no return
Usually in these levels you find a lord but once touched, if you haven't found all the others before, a message appears saying: "You've reached the deepest lord but there are some of them that you haven't destroyed and so you will stay prisoned for ever" and game ends.

Only one route from levels in the third part allows you to find all lords and some levels has to be completed twice (this is another message that appears sometimes when you touch a lord during your journey.

Maybe another cheat would be starting third part of the game with only 1 or two lords to touch.
(for example: the lord countdown that starts from 2 instead of 9)
Do you need other savegames?
I've got many of them.

I'm just going to answer your request for a walk through walls cheat as this looks to be the most useful, VICE is not my emulator of choice for cheat finding so save states don't help me for much else I'm afraid.

Please, last request, as I said in the other topic, can you find for me the pokes that changes the position of the planets in Cosmic convoy or generally the pokes that controls them. i would like to make some experiments.

What you are asking for is the quivalent of the boss in say r-type to appear half way through the level, yes it's possible but it's not done as it's a fundamental change to the game which is major pita to implement.

The thing about finding cheats is that you are basically finding something that does or doesn't happen in the game and then changing it so you can do it all the time or when you wish. So for instance with walkthrough walls you find the routines that are run when you can move and make sure they get implemented even when you couldn't normally move. Planets are a fixed point in space in this game and afaik the distance from the start to the end of each level is identical.

So you mean that moving the planets could crash the game if you just change it without reprogramming part of the game it's self?

It may crash the game but that's not the reason, I mentioned. What you are asking is for my spend 4+ hours making something I have ZERO interest in and is not cheat related. Finish this Level Now! is a valid cheat 'Move the level boss to half way through the game' isn't. You are starting to annoy me with the same request over and over, I tell you it's not going to happen and you ask the same thing again again....let it go!


The original request and the later one for lords of havoc have been satisfied.

The later request for cosmic convoy is not a valid request for the reasons I've outlined here and in the other posts.
