How to use them:

1) Only activate on player select screen;
2) You need to choose the first character, then activate the cheat. The boss will take all four player spaces.

Sometimes the game hangs so it's not 100% perfect yet. I still have to do some further study to find out why. A situation where this happens is when you are about to face one of the bosses, as the game has different movie sequences depending on the characters you're playing. Since the program doesn't expect you using a boss, it may be the cause.

Corrections to Bugfinder:

The second cheat is not necessary. Only the 10A7E6/10A804 addresses matter.

With the first addresses alone, you can activate the cheat to whoever you want. However, the characters will not change until:

If a character is in a fighting capacity, then the next round.
If a character is in a striking capacity, then the next time you change your order.

You can also activate on the character selection screen.

So far, Pon's latest code to select the bosses works the best.

However, when it gets to the end (after defeating IGNIS ?, the last boss) the video just repeats itself.

There's no end to it?

So far, Pon's latest code to select the bosses works the best.

What is the difference you observed between my boss codes and pon's? Do they work differently, or present a bug at a later part of the game?

You code is indeed selects the boss...

but it's buggy.

When I use your code ( I selected the last boss, IGNIS ?), sometimes I begin fighting ZERO, sometimes not.
(not all the time though. Don't know why.)

Regardless of who I fight first (ZERO or other teams), I can never get the IGNIS.

It seems that it keeps repeatly fighting the team with MAXIMA (the guy with the heavy punch. I am not an KOF fan so I am not familar with the team names), then some other team.. then back to the team with MAXIMA, then ZERO, then repeats. (last time I tried it, I killed ZERO three times already)

When I saw PON's code, I tried and it doesn't have that repeating problem.
(how ever, the video at the end seems to repeat regardless of whether I pick ZERO or IGNIS)

Also, I can't remember (since I am at work and am doing this from memory) whether it's your code or KelvSYC's correction code or both has the problem at the character selection screen. As you've stated, you must select a character first before activating the cheat.

With PON's code, IIRC, you can activiate the cheat code anytime during character select screen. (haven't tried to activate it during rounds)

That's why I said PON's code works the best so far... but the repeating video at the end... I guess that's what you get when you cheat

No, you don't have to select a character first. That's just BS.

Also, notice that pon, Bugfinder, and I repeated the same addresses (pon listed the D-codes, Bugfinder the A-codes, and I did all of them). If there's a problem in one there should be a problem in all three.

Also, to pick a one-man team, have A, B, C, and D activated to the same character. This works for any kof from 95 onwards.

Nice job! Really much better, what other problems do you know it still has? Also, do you have any idea on why the end sequence keeps repeating? Maybe we could find a hack to workaround this. I'm not much familiar with this game, but I think that ending sequence was to be played after beating Zero and before facing Igniz. However when you play with a boss, first you get to Igniz and then that sequence is shown...

Seeing how home mode is incomplete in this bootleg, I wouldn't be surprised if boss endings are incomplete.

Funny how in previous kofs there is no "boss" ending, if you pick a boss team designation (the solo Kula/Zero in kof2000, for example) you get a custom team ending, and you don't fight the midboss.
