First of all, which version of mame are you using ? Dos based or windows GUI, and why on earth are you using mame v0.57 ? Please update to a newer version...
Once we've established which mame you use we can probably help you using the cheats. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs has had cheats for quite some time, they're in the current cheat.dat and there are some other cheats on this forum, all I had to do was search for them.
Also, do you use a front end ? If so, which one ?
