I was not able to find an "always 1st" cheat. I found some memory locations that brings me to the 1st position but in few milliseconds I am put back to the real position... I suppose it's something ROM related... anyway these are my findigs:
1st position = 0 (hex),
2nd = 1
3rd = 2
4th = 3
an so on.
Another good thing will be find an "always maximum speed" cheat but I found the same problems looking for it.
If someone (pugsy?) would like to try you are welcome !!!

RAM cheat finding isn't enough for this game as you've found out. 20A305 contains the position - poking it does fix the display but not the actual position. Unfortunately the debugger TRACE along with D1 watching doesn't seem to work with this game/cpu and I haven't currently got the the energy to do a long manual TRACE, which may or maynot help to find a cheat. I'll change the reason though as why it's not got cheats from 11 to 07.
